Elderberry is a wild food with a rich and extensive history. A deciduous shrub ubiquitous across North America and many other countries, it was used to ward off vampires and drive evil spirits out of the body. More practical uses have included treating toothaches, colds, flus, sore throats, congestion, depression and diabetes.
John Moody just released an entire book all about elderberries and how to identify, process, store and make them into usable products, more than just food.
